If it’s not broken, don’t fix it – something the mob at New Balance knows all too well. To coincide with a newly released 574 Sport, the 574S Icon seems to have taken point from an old favourite.

The all-white model – a recurring trend of late – is a remix of the best-selling Ronnie Fieg x DSM x New Balance collab. Instead of a navy colourway however, the clinical kick is simply grounded with a black, red and white detailed tread – a great move for minimalists.

The lightweight suede and mesh construction embraces New Balance’s signature geometric midsole, a surefire way to imbue stability and absorb impact. Factor in the Fresh Foam cushioning and Abzorb crash pads, and you’re left with a sneaker that’s as comfortable as it is handsome.

So instead of opting for the latest six-way (and probably six-figure) collab, take relief in a tread that’s thoroughly tried-and-tested.

Available at New Balance, priced £110.
