Selena Gomez
The transition from child star to fully fledged adult careerist is a perilous one. One actress who seems to have the right idea is Selena Gomez, previously on the Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place and now an actress in acclaimed indie fare like comedy drama The Fundamentals of Caring (check it out on Netflix). Oh, and she has a sideline, of course, as a multi-million selling singer.
Victoria Justice
We’re a site that tries to stick to the menswear side of fashion. It’s what we know and love. But boy when we saw this dress/jacket/exotic botanical garden being sported by Zoey 101 actress and singer Victoria Justice we had to retrieve our jaws from off the floor. What’s more, she matches the wall behind her for true Instagram-worthiness.
Meghan Markle
Start cracking out the gaudy commemorative plates, it is now T-minus less than one month until the big day. Nope, we’re not talking about
Priyanka Chopra
Talking of the bachelor party, let’s not forget the hen-do. Indian actress, singer, film producer and philanthropist, Priyanka Chopra also happens to be best buddies with Markle and we’re sure she’s cooking up something special for the bride-to-be (probably a little more sophisticated than a 10ft pink limo). We’re also hoping Chopra is still looking for a date to go with on the big day. We can cancel our
Gigi Hadid
How did you spend your 23rd birthday? Sitting in a pub drinking lukewarm lager and fretting about your growing student debt. How did 2016 International Model Of The Year, Gigi Hadid spend her 23rd? With a gold-themed bash at the stunning Brooklyn Heights Social Club with unparalleled views overlooking Manhattan. Hard work for one of the world’s hottest women.
Iskra Lawrence
Body positivity has come a long way from the days of stick-thin models sashaying down the catwalk with front row commentators purring awful phrases like “heroin chic”. British model Iskra Lawrence has really helped to galvanise the movement, as a brand ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association along with a successful career fronting campaigns for American Eagle.
Amanda Seyfried
“Mamma Mia Here We Go Again“. No, we’re not trying to coax you into an Abba karaoke session, rather just listing actress Amanda Seyfried’s upcoming projects. Yes, the Abba musical is having a sequel with Seyfried returning in the lead role, so dust down those lace-up jumpsuits and stop pretending the first one isn’t in your guilty pleasure DVD drawer.
Suki Waterhouse
Not content with a successful modelling career fronting covers for Vogue, Tatler and Elle, Suki Waterhouse is now ready to conquer Hollywood. Waterhouse has no less than six feature films coming up over the next year, while her latest film, the science fiction flick Jonathan with Baby Driver star Ansel Elgort, just premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. Talk about work ethic.
Zoe Saldana
Unless you’re Harrison Ford, to whom normal movie star rules do not apply, you’re lucky if you get even one massive film franchise during your career. But Actress Zoe Saldana has a whopping three with starring roles in Star Trek, Avatar (a sequel to the 2009 blockbuster is due at the end of this decade) and the Marvel universe as one of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Gomora. Meanwhile, we’re yet to star in one but we’re hoping George Lucas gets in touch soon to offer us the role of stormtrooper #157.
Brie Larson
All the talk at the moment is of the current team of Avengers ripping it up on screen in the new film Avengers: Infinity War. It’s being billed as a passing of the torch with a new set of Avengers taking over the old ones – Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is at the top of the list. We don’t get to see Larson in this one, but she does get her own Captain Marvel film next year, before taking a starring role in the next Avengers film. Marvellous.
