We’re Hiring!

Fashionbeans.com is a complete fashion, style, fitness & grooming guide for the modern gent. Our team of industry experts and enthusiastic writers provide the everyday male with the latest advice, inspiration and guides to looking their best daily.

Oscar Wilde once said, “Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.” It can never be said that fashion is ever a sitting duck. This is why FashionBeans is always on the lookout for fresh, new, innovative contributors.

Why Contribute?

We get over 1 million readers a month, and 3,400,000+ page views a month, which means your work will be seen by tens of millions of people each and every year. Imagine what this can do for you in terms of exposure and a work portfolio to show potential employees.

Our site operates and attracts visitors on a global scale, meaning it is one of the greatest personal ads you could ever place for yourself.

All roles listed below are open to both MEN AND WOMEN…

Editorial Team

We are looking for fashion minded individuals who would like to join our editorial team or guest contribute on a consistent and regular basis. If you have a passion for fashion, grooming, the industry, or your own unique take on style then read on, because you could potentially have your ideas and articles published to a worldwide audience.

For those of you who want to break into the fashion industry – be it as a designer, buyer, stylist etc. then showing you know and understand fashion is a great place to start. By writing interesting and thought provoking articles to tens of thousands of people each day, it means that you can begin to build a name for yourself within the industry. We work with a whole host of major brands, designers and retailers within the industry such as: Harrods, Selfridges, Mr. Porter, Urban Outfitters, House Of Fraser, Next, River Island, Reiss, Oki-Ni, Topman, AllSaints, Burton and many, many more!

The great thing about our editorial team is that it has no geographical limits. We don’t have one physical office location, so you will be able to contribute from home and fit it in around your lifestyle.

With this in mind, we accept applications for writers from across the globe, so you do not have to be UK based.

We are currently looking for two types of writer:

1. News Team

We have really started to ramp up our news offering over the past six months, getting to a consistent level of four mini news bulletins a day. These are becoming increasingly popular with the audience on site, and get many social and viral shares because of it. We have now modified our website design to include our news category on the top navigation, which means that it should only continue to grow going forward.

News bulletins consist of around 300-500 words and detail the latest collections, limited editions, designer collaborations, lookbooks and advertising campaigns. They will be suited to those of you who want to write about a variety of topics that take your interest each week.

The benefit of working in the news team is that you can begin to build up your own contacts list of PR agencies, brand promotion companies, retailers and designers – who are always keen to work with a site of our stature and look to provide us with content regularly. It is a great way of networking and hopefully getting your foot in the door of the industry.

Once you have built up a list of contacts, you will often be invited to launch parties, preview collections and the like that will help take your professional network to the next level.

2. The Feature Article Team

The feature article team consists of our very best contributing talent. They are responsible for the in-depth feature articles we publish every working day on site. This role is suited to those who want to develop their writing skills and have the time and dedication to produce high quality features that are interesting, well structured, informative and engaging.

It is hard work but ultimately rewarding, and those in the feature team tend to stay with the site long term as they enjoy getting regular feedback from the readers on their work, have their articles featured prominently all over the site, and can really start to make a name for themselves as a high quality journalist/writer.

Usually we will develop writers in the news team first, before promoting them to the feature article team. However, there are exceptions for those that show exceptional quality within their initial submissions.

The Street Style Collective

One of the key launches on FashionBeans over the past few years has been our street style gallery. A glossy index of fashionable men from all over the world, it has become our most popular section on site. We are calling on all paparazzo’s awaiting fame to keep this feature fresh and exciting – touching on as many corners of the globe as we can.

We aren’t looking for the next Patrick Demarchelier, all we require is:

  • Anything device erring between a decent point and click camera or a digital SLR.
  • Basic knowledge in editing digital photographs is beneficial but not required. Simple resizing, cropping and basic touch-ups will help list the photographs quickly and efficiently.
  • An eye for a good outfit – understanding it’s not all about having everything off the latest wish list.
  • Be outgoing. It doesn’t matter if you fail to note down what underwear they’re wearing. A quick hello, an interest in where they got certain pieces.

We have photos submitted weekly from some of the most well known street style websites on the planet. If you have your own blog/website or you simply like to get out there and snap well dressed gentlemen, then please get in contact and we can take it from there.

All photographers have their name, logo and website link listed on every single photo they produce. We also feature the very best photos each week on our FaceBook page to our 30K+ fans!
