    Pocket square? Tie? Open Collar?

I bought the suit in the shade below, with trousers and waistcoat. It's a little light than that in person, but that's that.
grey slim suit jacket - suit jackets / suit trousers - suits - men - River Island
My problem is knowing what to wear with it. I already have a wonderful fitting tailored white shirt, but I'm not sure if to wear a pcoket square, a tie, both or neither. I'll be wearing a black leather belt and slightly pointed black brogues with it too.
    Any ideas anyone?

You have a blank canvas there mate.

    You can do...

No tie with no pocket square.
No tie with a pocket square.
A tie with no pocket square.
A tie with a pocket square.

I can't think of a tie or pocket square that wouldn't go with that combination. Experimentation is fun.

And try here for some inspiration Today's Tie

(Personally, I wouldn't wear a waistcoat with no tie, it doesn't look right.)

Always pocket square and tie! =)

(Then again, this is coming from someone who wears both to go buy a pint of milk. =P)

Surely it depends on the occasion? Unless you are NAth, by the sound of it.

I agree, I am pretty pathetic when it comes to overdressing. Luckily my friends have got used to it and expect it of me. What I'm wearing today (an Allsaints chambray shirt and jeans) is about as dressed down as I get.

But yes, it does depend on the occasion.

If your not overdressing for the occasion(ie. most guys are in suits) then tie and pocket square. The combination just makes you look like you know how to wear a suit.

Yes, everyone else will be in suits. However, the idea of black tie with a tie clip/pin is now also appealing, and the event is tonight, bugger it! Let's see how it goes.

I know it's cliche but comb through pictures from Mad Men and pick something close to what you have/body type and your all set.
