What to wear with navy blazer and orange wool tie.
For my 30th I'm going to wear a navy blazer with orange wool tie...this is as far as I have got. I'm probably going to wear tan/brown brogues. But I'm not sure what shirt and trousers to wear and whether or not to add a pocket square and tie pin for detail.
I'm thinking light blue chinos and white shirt but I'm open to suggestions
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Great idea, I would have never thought of going for something this patterned but it looks great. I've just bought a vintage tie bar so I'm now just keeping an eye out for a nice pocket square.
I really want that last tie now too.

I think we all naturally gravitate to crisp whites because its so classic.. but gingham, or any kind of check, REALLY pops under a blazer.
As far as knitted ties go, they used to be such a rare find.. I remember the only place I saw them were in Reiss, and bespoke tailors at £70+ a time. I invested in a few from TM Lewin, but Next sell them now for around £10, and my mate just picked up a lush burgundy one from Primark for £4 - I swear you would not know the difference between his at £4 and mine at £35
