Opinions on the fit of these blazers

Would appreciate some opinions on the fit of these blazers. Apologies in advance for the rubbish quality of the photos.

The first is a linen/cotton jacket from Uniqlo in XS, the smallest size they do. I was all set to send it back, but now I am not so sure. Obviously the arms are too long and I would have them shortened, but am thinking the rest of the fit is not too bad, and that I would have to pay substantially more than 50 to get something better.

The second one is a 36R by Hackett from my local TK Max. I bought this in a rush because I spotted it in the reduced section (50) on the way to pay for something else. It looks way too long in this pic, doesn't seem quite as bad in the mirror. Again arms are too long, but it is the length of the jacket I am concerned about, and perhaps the large size of the patch pockets in comparison with my small stature!

Happy to return both and carry on my search for a decent summer blazer. What do people think?

They both look a little big to be honest.

On the first one, the shoulders seem to be a teeny bit too wide. This is pretty much unfixable without ruining the cut of the jacket.

The second is actually okay, though not as slim as I like mine. The arms would, like you rightly observed, have to be shortened considerably.

Just a thought, but my summer blazer for this year is from French Connection: Machine Gun Stretch Blazer - Mens Jackets & Coats - French Connection

I'm a 36-7 chest, and the XS is a lovely fit on me, although maybe a bit fitted for an older gents tastes.

Yes, I was thinking the shoulders were a tiny bit too big on the first one, though on closer inspection I wondered if this was part of the poor cut of a cheap jacket as well. The Hackett one is much less slim than I would normally prefer too tbh. I think I will send them both back, and go with my initial instinct.

Good call on the FC one, I will see if they have on in my local store when I am returning things to TK Max later.

Am tempted to go to Suit Supply while in London next weekend, just to see, though that might be dangerous!

Tried the French Connection blazer suggested by Nath on in town yesterday. Nice fit in the body and shoulders, but still too long in the body and sleeves. Wasn't convinced it was worth 90 either. I'm in London next week and am going to pop into Suit Supply and try on a few things in there.
