    Chinos - Do they fit?

I bought my first pair of chinos today. It's a beige pair of Gant Soho chinos (slim fit). I must admit the fit and feeling is a bit different compared to jeans. Since this I'm a chino-noob, I fell a bit unsure about the fit, so I would really like a second opinion.

The break is rather small, so I consider if they should be 36 in length instead of 34...
What do you gentlemen think about the length and overall fit of them?

I think they look okay, the length is okay although i'd probably be tempted to turn them up or take couple of inches off but that's just the way I like it, but overall they look pretty good but if you don't like them take them to tailor or get a smaller size

I guess we have different taste chino length, 'cause I was worried about them being too short.

They look good to me. That is quite a slim fit, but then again I like mine skinny, so I'm not one to judge. Keep them!

I think I will. Being tall and slim I also like my trousers to be slim fitting, but it's a fine balance between slim and too slim.

Look to fit really well. Definitely don't go any longer, you'll end up with loads of bunching around the ankle.

You really need to try them on with shoes to get a proper impression of length. That said, these look fine, in terms of how long they are to me - the narrower the trouser the less break you want.

    Looks good!

Nath6644, you would be astonished, I think, to see the chinos I usually wear, which fit about like skinny jeans.

Original poster, if you'd like to try more fitted styles, go with the Levi's 510 chino, Topman skinny or super skinny cuts, and Monkee Genes. I find the waist runs large in Monkee Genes so I size down 2", but it does make the legs very tight around the calf. Monkee Genes looks great on the tall and the slim, I will say! Also Elvine and Penny Stock, both cut slim.
