    Clothing Alterations

Having searched for trousers in last couple of weeks to fit my rather large thighs, I have decided to instead buy a couple of baggy pairs and take them to tailors. I want a couple of pairs of chinos for work and a white dress pair for smart casual.

I have a 32' waist and usually wear stretch skinny jeans. In chinos I have to wear a 34 inch waist, but even at that its too tight on legs. So I was considering buying a couple of pairs of 36' chinos and taking them to get altered.

1.What brands should I look out for
2.What do I say to tailor? I want a slim straight look, slight taper

    Thanks guys

Dunno on brands, but if you take them into the tailor he will pin them how you want them before doing the work. You will need to spend a bit of time there, you can't just drop them in and say "taper these bro"

Ok cool. I was going to buy a stone pair, navy and a white pair. Do you think that's enough? I'm using the stone/navy pair primarily for office wear

Maybe start with one pair and see if you are happy with when the alterations are done...

I think 3 pairs of chinos tailored to you is more than enough, those colours will be versatile too.
