Shirt colour for this wedding outfit

I 'm looking for some critique on my outfit really (as well), as I've bought these pieces for my outfit, which I'm wearing with black shoes and belt but I really have no idea what colour shirt to go for:

Stick with a white shirt man, there's enough going on already imo!

Also not sure if black shoes / belt will work with that, but you will know when you try it on

Would also suggest sticking with white shirt and was similarly unsure about black shoes. I would have thought brown might work better?

I did think about the brown as I recently bought these:

But I think the hybrid boat/loafers are little too casual right?

I think so, especially with the white sole.

I'm also with the others on the white shirt. Are you going to wear a tie? If not, I'd recommend getting an interesting handkerchief for the breast pocket.

I think black shoes and belt will work, but as I take it the dresscode is not the strictest, it might be fun to try something else. Personally, I'd go for tan shoes and belt, rather than brown. It's a summer outfit, and I think brown would look a bit heavy.

    Something like this:

I think you're right about the boat shoes being too casual.

Yep I agree, I said brown but I think I meant tan really.

I may have to resort to brown shoes simply because I don't have the spare income to buy tan shoes and belt.

In fact I could hope those suit trousers go with the blazer I already own and just wear that with a tie (need to buy that), if not I'll just pair my grey trousers with the blazer, and black shoes.

This outfit seemed like a great idea, but I'm slowly leaning toward sending it all back!

The blazer is really nice, and from the pictures the trousers look like a spot on combination. If it's the shoes and belt thing, go with black as you first intended!

Didn't mean to put you off!

I agree with you all, a white shirt is the perfect choice. Since it's for a wedding you could customize it with details such as French cuffs, covered placket, 1 or 3 mm stitching to give it a touch of elegance .
