    The autumn smartcasual shoe

Guys I'm struggling with a choice of smart-casual footwear for the autumn period, now I know that desert boots get a high rating for this but I'm looking for something a little different. Also I'm not sure about suede because it will be a little rainy no doubt, but most my feet will be getting wet from spilt drinks!

The only thing I can think of is possibly worker style boots?

I've been having the same problem. I'm more than happy to wear desert boots but trying to find a pair that aren't overly smart for what I wear is proving difficult.

If you're not keen on desert boots, why not try brogues or something?

Get a Leather Desert Boot instead of a suede one! Otherwise, Chelsea Boots and Brogue Boots/Shoes are also good.

Leather boots come in all kinds of models. Doesn't have to be a chelsea boot. It could have zippers, buckles, laces...

Good shout on the leather desert boot, will definitely look into those!

Red Wings are the way to go. Recently bough some Iron Rangers and I love them. Price is a little steep tho..

I love Red Wings, unfortunately a little out of my price range. The Iron Rangers are actually the kind of boot style I was considering! Where did you get yours from? I may have to keep my eyes on eBay (very unlikely...)

I second this. I'm a big fan of desert boots, but they're hopeless in the rain - seen quite a lot of leather versions around, and I'll definitely be picking some up. They look great.

AllSaints have a nice range of boots. Stylish and pricy, as per usual.
