Which color to buy a leather holdall in?

    Good day,

since I've been using the same Addidas sports bag for staying overnight at my girlfriends for almost 3 years now and I managed to break one of the handles, I think it's time for a new holdall.

I've wanted to get one for a while now, but the one thing I really can't decide on is the color. I wanna go classic, so it's going to be either brown or black. Does the bag have to match my other leathers, too?

Also, any suggestions would be much appreciated

    Thanks, guys!

Brown is safer for casual use imo. It's more versatile.

Or go for a bright colour if you've got the sacks for it!

Yeah, get brown or tan. More casual and it ages better.

My problem is rather that I'd love to get a black holdall and don't know if it should always have to match the color of my belt and/or shoes?

It's not such a big deal but it should match. I'd go for tan- because it can work with black.
How much black do you wear? If lot's of, a black one will be fine as well, especially if your brown shoes aren't dark.

I don't wear a lot of black actually, I am rather wearing a lot of sneakers in various colors, brown oxfords, as well as a pair of black winter boots.

Tan or oxblood would work with all of that
