    Does this work??

When it comes to men's fashion, I know pretty much nothing. Does this work? Can't see my feet, but I have black boots on.
Does the dark blue dress shirt under the sweater work with the black tie and grey jeans? I also have a white dress shirt and a lighter black dress shirt (kind of charcoal color).

    Thanks for any advice!

It's not bad, but allow me to suggest some improvements.

I may be old fashioned, but I still find navy and black quite a grating colour combination. A bit of colour would lift the look no end. A pale blue textured oxford shirt with a navy v-neck jumper, punctuated by a more textured tie in a bolder colour like rich burgundy would be a great alternative.

If you want to keep things more monochrome, go for a white shirt and maybe find a tie that's less shiny. A charcoal, textured, wool one for example.
