Brown brogues or brogue boots would be fine. I would go more casual than formal though; something a bit distressed would fit the aesthetic better.

Other styles would work too, such as chelsea boots, oxfords, derbies etc.

A pair of smart trainers could work too, depending on the occasion.

Definitely needs leather imo. The boots on this thread would look great. http://www.fashionbeans.com/forums/g...ng-outfit.html

Ahh, great shout Nat!! I was thinking oxblood brogue boots myself, but I think the elegant savagery of the boots you've suggested absolutely nail it!!

Well, not the sort of thing I was talking about, but they're both nice.

i think it'll depend on the fit of the jeans. you can't tell from the photo. If they are skinny then the slimmer brogues (the first pair would be a good bet), if they are slim fitting or even straight then i would have thought the 'bulkier' brogues (2nd pair) would be a good bet. i'm not a fan of straight cut jeans and brogues though.

I'm scared of brogues, unless they're really dark or in boot form. I can never visualise them working with anything other than chinos.
