    Opinions on Berets?

Has anyone seen any reasonably priced berets on any websites like asos, urban outfitters, etc? what do you guys think of it?
I think it could be a good look this winter.

seen this YMC one buts its pretty steep at 55

I'm not a huge fan of berets as they don't really suit me & prefer to wear newsboy caps, flat caps or beanies, but they do so suit some people really well. Especially French people with moustaches.

There's a selection of them here, starting from 9.95 excl delivery:

The Borsalino and Jaxons are more expensive, but with both those brands, you get what you pay for - high quality wool and leather bands. The cheaper ones are probably fine though - they're 100% wool. No harm in opting for one of these, then if you like it, investing in a better make if funds allow.

Make sure you read the hat sizing guide before you buy though as it's very easy to get the wrong size (I'm speaking from experience).

I actually bought this one in navy as soon as it was available and the quality is superb (as it should be for 55). I was looking for something that took my winter wardrobe to the next level and I am very pleased. I love that thing and I wear it as often as I can. It's sure to land you a few looks but I have also gotten a lot of compliments as in "I'd never be able to pull this off, but you actually do."

    Wear it with confidence!

Oh and on another note, I don't wear a moustache. haha.

Looks almost to be a beret/flat cap cross - perhaps worn by frenchmen with moustaches and whippets?

I'm open to almost anything in styling and fashion but not beret. Looks ridiculous.

Only if I'm on the way to the shops to get baguettes.

I think they can look good but are very, very hard to get right. Not sure about that YMC beret/flat cap hybrid. The Street Etiquette guys do it well:

^ They are certainly pulling it off, but I still think that would look a little strange if you saw someone wearing it irl

That's actually the great thing about the YMC one. It's basically a news boy hat - with a little twist rather than a full on beret.

Never wore berets before or hats haha. I would stick with my quiff. But idk if I have the face shape for it. I kind of have a chubby nose haha. But if i can wear a hat really good I think I can wear a beret. Looks fancy might buy one.
