Halfway through med school, leaning towards psychiatry as a specialty at the moment but we shall see. Spending far more on clothes than I really have the budget for...

You bastard, I thought I was the only Psych into clothes!

Used to be a musician, turned audio engineer, when I wanted to get into it more the industry crashed (napster, KaZaa, Limewire etc.) so I decided not to take the risk, with unpaid jobs and no guarantee of work of any kind. Went back into education so I'm a student and for 2 years been working in schools with kids with special needs, mostly behavioural or autistic. Final year, loads of work and exams (oh the joy), applying for Phd's in Clinical Psychology.

In my 4th year of University, taking a Masters in Creative Writing, with the aim to go on and hopefully publish a book. Although I would estimate it will take at the very least 3 or 4 more years to get to that stage. In terms of paying for everything, I've been doing Mcdonalds shifts for minimum wage the last two years over any breaks from Uni. So I guess that counts as a living, ha.

Mwahaha. I plan to live up to stereotypes and rock bow ties, tweed, corduroy, tortoiseshell glasses etc. Maybe a beard, facial hair seems to be obligatory.

By qualifications I should describe myself as a mining engineer although I spent most of my career in the oil industry as a petroleum then drilling engineer. I've lived and worked in:

UK (onshore and offshore), Oman (5 years), Netherlands, Egypt, Tunisia, Italy, Sweden, South Africa (Gold mines), Trinidad.
I never set out to travel. It just happened.

Love the idea of this thread, getting a proper community feel going (now just waiting for the inevitable "Fashionbeans Meetup" thread).

I work for a small management consultancy.
A dream job where I could incorporate fashion into it would be working for BOF (http://www.businessoffashion.com) - need to somehow worm my way in there!!
