    Blazer fit

Hi Guys, first time poster, I've been lurking for a while though!
I'm in sales and my working "uniform" is smart casual, so usually it's bdos, jumper/cardie, dark straight leg denim or chinos and a jacket or blazer. My question is regarding the fit of the blazer, should I be able to do the buttons up? Whenever I try one on that does up it swamps me, but I have a couple that I consider to fit well everywhere else except across the belly (of which there is quite a bit of). I wouldn't ever want to do them up, so should I stick with the ones that nearly do up or bite the bullet and bin them? FYI I'm 37, 5"7 and a 34/36" waist. Over to you experts.....

A blazer is no different to any other jacket in that if you can't close the buttons, then it doesn't fit you properly.

Jacket should always be button-able! This is because a jacket that doesn't fit might also not be fitting across the back as well as the front.
