    New watch ideas?

    Hey guys,

I have been considering buying a new budget watch for casual days this weekend for holiday purposes. Something like a Daniel Wellington.

I just wondered if anyone else has got any other options for me to look at up to around 200-ish. Quality would be nice and nothing too bling would be best. A nice leather or Nylon style strap, nothing fully metallic. I know I can change them later, so if there is an option you think fits the bill, still post it please.

    thanks in advance guys.

Thanks MrBond, some definite models to keep in mind. Considered a Mondaine previously, but unsure on the fact it is dark.
The Larrson and Jennings is a good shout and looking over their models I quite liked the one you linked and this one:

A little over the OP budget, but is still a contender.

*and I appreciate the added effort adding each one for me.

Larrson and Jennings are great. Particularly like these two:

No problem mate, watch browsing/shopping is a hobby of mine anyway!

Loving that L&J, and I need something with a blue strap in my collection...

I picked up this L&J watch last month for my birthday https://www.larssonandjennings.com/s...etal/cm-black/
It's beautiful (in an understated way) which is my style I suppose. You know when you see something (even online) and it you just know it's the exact thing you've been looking for. Sold out now through!

Strangely they market it as unisex but it would be pretty oversized on a woman's wrist.

I got this Uniform wares watch from Mr Porter about 3 weeks ago. Same reasons as you, not bling, very understated, almost timeless. It's all very small and thin.

    Uniform Wares - 152 Series Rose Gold-Plated Wristwatch*|*MR PORTER

Extremely happy with the purchase! I can see myself keeping this til the day I die.

I will say though that the strap is actually darker than their photos suggest. Still, as the note in the box says, you will bring your own patina to this lovely Italian calf skin leather strap

That's a nice watch there, Archie.

My advice? Hit up eBay. Buy yourself a timeless classic dress watch from the likes Raymond Weil or similar if stuff like the above is what you're after.

not looking for a dress watch, more of a casual watch but thanks for the advice Kessler.

@Archie, I like the watch, I am a fan of Uniform Wares in general and have considered this as another.

Also this one was a maybe, not sure though.
