    Bag

I'm going to the USA about 2 weeks and I'm really needing a decent bag. I prefer a Holdall, so does anyone know where I can get a nice holdall bag? Not too expensive like ralph lauren or something. Don't have the funds now due to all the sales haha.

2 weeks surely calls for a suitcase.

You don't want to walk around all day with a holdall mate, will be a right pain in the arse.

Get a messenger bag / backpack

Yeah I'd say a backpack is perfect. Easy to walk around with all day, can fit loads in.

What would you recommend, a canvas or a regular one?

I have to agree with this a backpack or messenger are the most practical option for travel. Its keeps your hands free for taking photos and hold a bottle water. But if you are really gravitating toward a handheld bag may I suggest to get a tote that have the optional crossbody strap in that way if you need your both hand you can easily wear it crossbody or over the shoulder. I know COACH have few simple and classic design for this kind of bags or even Paul Smith.

If I were in the states, I'd probably look for a Filson. Reasonable prices, and much better than what you get here. You will get your money back when you come to sell it.

I like them a lot, but don't have the funds, spend it all in the sale last week. Do you know any alternatives wich look like those?
