What do you guys think of this?

Wanted to wear this for a friend's engagement party - turns out it's ending up as a night out: didn't think it was the best choice for that occasion?
Also, the girlfriend hates the shirt. I like it. What do the esteemed FBers think to settle the debate?
(Still consider myself a complete learner - open to any advice/criticism, it's why I'm here!! ).

(Zara cardigan; Suit shirt; Levis jeans; Clarks desert boots.)

Like the look mate. Recon rolling the sleeves up a little might look cool.

But please don't wear it to your friend's engagement party! I'm assuming that you fall into the 19 - 22 bracket like myself hence the casual nature of the outfit, but if there's ever a reason to dress up then it's an engagement party. Maybe ask some of your mates what they'll be wearing (I know how that sounds) as I'd expect some of them will be going for the shirt and jacket look.

Just about to turn 23 so good guess.
It's more an engagement 'night out', I suppose. Dress code would be like any other Saturday night in a semi-decent club. But yeah, in retrospect this is a little more casual friday than night out.
Awaiting the arrival of this in the post : H.E.BY MANGO - NEW - Premium Prince of Wales blazer

Will probably end up changing to that+a plain white oxford.

    Cheers mate.

If you mean the one I just ordered, thanks very much! Looks like a steal for 50 online. Hopefully it fits well etc. Should be arriving tomorrow - I'll probs post a pic when it does, if anyone cares!

    These finally arrived:

Here's a couple of fits I tried with them:

99% sure I'm gonna keep them but they are pretty expensive, so just thought I'd get some opinions on here... What do you guys think?

Probably not something I would wear Pins, but I could see them working as part of a summer outfit - something different from the normal summer shoes of loafers and boaties. I would probably strip everything back, and let the shoes do the talking. I can imagine them with off-white chinos, a nice polo, and maybe something on the wrist to pick out the colour in the shoes.

Liking them a lot mate. Probably better suited to summer, but they're really cool. What brand are they?
