Yeah, that was my thinking; I understand the practicality aspects if you're wearing it as a traditional overcoat with a suit underneath, but since it fits slim and I don't have a reason to wear suits, it's going to be a casual/smart-casual coat over shirts, jumpers etc and for that purpose I think the sleeve length is basically perfect.

My favorite Rugby shirt with long sleeve and stylish cream color military Twill pants.
Would a marine tie look nice with a white shirt and a black waistcoat (vest), or should I buy a black tie for it to match? I was thinking of today making a elegant dress to go out tonight! probably nice black suit trousers or something also underneath!
What is your opinion for the tie?
This is an outfit I put together at the weekend for a wedding BBQ. In the end I changed into something a little bit more casual, which i was glad of because I was still massively overdressed compared to everyone else present! Anyway, I still like this outfit and am hoping to wear it at some point, maybe this weekend as part of wedding celebrations.
The jacket is not quite the same as the one I have, which does not have patch pockets and is closer to navy. I wore brown oxford's with it.

Edit: Would really like some feedback on this one - I thought it looked good but got totally ripped on another forum! What do you lot think? Cheers!

Personally, I wouldn't wear that jacket with it but by no means is it a bad or unwearable outfit.
And for what it's worth - you pull it off.
All fits great (especially the trousers) and I'm a big fan of the shoes.
Like I say, I'd only scrap the jacket, but the rest is good to me.
Excuse me for butting in.
Pins every time I look at your outfits I think in theory it should work but something is off.
I recon its to do with your proportions, the skinny jeans do you no favours IMO, the tightness around the calf and low waist seems to exaggerate the size of your torso.
I recon if you traded them for a very slightly straiter fit it would flatter your body shape better
