I'm a big fan of more minimal styles during the Summer as well, Sam. For me, it's a product of spending the last 6 years in unbearably humid locales! But I do like what you've been doing-- your looks are simple without being boring.

They're nice. I wouldn't call them simple, because I think you've got a good sense of fit, which is not the simplest of things. Minimal, sure, but my opinion is a summer outfit should not be over-complicated and too accessorized.

Thanks guys! It was only by looking at the pictures that I realized how minimal my outfits can be. Once in a while I wish I had a sleeve of tattoos like Beckham, which would spice up the plainest of outfits, but then my sense of reality kicks in and I forget about it.

The only thing I don't really like are the shoes but that is just my personal opinion.

The brown shoes and white laces don't work for me.

How about wearing a watch or some form of beads/bracelet to break up the bare arms.

I also agree about the shoes with the white laces.

Thanks James, I mostly wear a watch, which you can see in the post above the one with the boat shoes. Would you suggest wearing a bracelet on the other wrist as well as the watch?
Bought the shoes on holiday (bargain) as my espadrilles were wearing thin. I guess the white laces are quite different, but I feel they make them a little more youthful. The shoes aren't your average boat shoes, the leather has got a suede feel to it, but it's not quite suede and there is some white stitching. Just to say they look a little different in real life...

Absolutely, and even some on the same wrist as the watch.

Sleeve tattoos are very much the trend at the moment and have noticed a lot of people getting these. They are fine all the while you are young and they suit, but with trends they come and go......tattoos are permanent.

And when you are older, do you really want an arm full of faded tattoos?

Any idea where I could get a nice leather one? Maybe woven or twisted, or so? (Not sure if I feel manly enough to pull off beads.)
