i'd recommend something neutral, since the shoes are so bright.
i'd go for some black jeans with a grey/white shirt

What sort of shoes should I wear with this suit?

Also I am contemplating wearing it to a wedding in October. Do you think that would be appropriate? It's a country wedding in Ireland.

Opinons on tie and pocket square options also appreciated. I was thinking of picking out the red in the check. Maybe burgundy knitted tie or similar?

    Thanks.

Liking that a lot... A country wedding, with that fabric, in autumn...got to be oxblood brogues no? Not that brogues are very formal, so might not suit for a wedding, but if you're wearing that suit, I'm guessing you can get away with something less strictly formal. That would also look cool with burgundy knit tie, without looking too matchy.

Yep, that's a good call. The closest I have is a pair oh Grenson Fred brogue boots in 'honey' which might be a bit chunky for a wedding. I', thinking something like Loake Royal's or similar longwing brogue might be good? Though as you say, not strictly wedding attire.

Yeah, you can get a very decent knit for 70 without that penguin.

100% Lambswool, though, and a nice top. Did you buy it already?

I've got a bit of burgundy and it goes well with black jeans and darker washes. But in summer I could wear light chinos with the same top. Also got some burgundy chinos and I even paired those with a bright yellow kitted polo so it really does go with anything.

Hi, I am new to forum and need some help with pocket squares! I am going to a wedding reception on Saturday night and I will be wearing a grey 3 piece suit with a red and blue tartan shirt. I am not planning on wearing a tie but instead fastening all the buttons on the shirt as it has a button down collar. I am unsure what colour/pattern of pocket square to wear as I wont have a tie on. Thanks in advance
