    Blazer For honeymoon In us

I'm getting married in four weeks and jetting off to the US on honeymoon two days later.

We're covering quite a bit of ground, starting in New York and finishing in Vegas.

Because it's our honeymoon we're staying in nicer hotels than my tightfisted-ness would normally allow, and are hoping to take in some shows, eat in decent restaurants and visit the Vegas casinos in the evening.

Now I've checked, and by and large most of these places don't have a dress code, but that doesn't mean I want to turn up in denim cut offs and a wife beater just because I can.

I'm pretty happy that I can pack an adaptable enough wardrobe to get me from sightseeing to fine dining for 17 nights, but the one item I'm struggling to decide on is a blazer. It needs to be versatile enough to keep me warm in autumnal New York, cool enough for Vegas, and not so smart that I can't wear it with dark jeans, grey tee and tan brogues for travelling so it's not crumpled up in my suitcase.

Normally I would default to tweed, possibly unstructed, but I suspect Vegas in tweed might be a bit too much heat wise.

I picked up the below up the other day in the House of Fraser sale,
Plectrum Blazer | Cool Blue | Ben Sherman

Do you think this ticks the boxes? I have two weeks to return it if anyone has any better suggestions; I'm working on a budget of around 100.

I'm wearing a navy suit to get married, so the jacket from that is an option, but I worry it'll look too smart to wear with the tee for travelling.

All suggestions welcome; thanks in advance.

It doesn't look very fitted. What is the fit like??

If it fits well, then go with it. Versatile colour so will go with lots of other garms.

Just tried it on again to check; the fit's not bad. I carry a little extra weight though, so it can be difficult to get clothes, jackets in particular, that really nail the fit.

Ok, if you carry a little extra weight its better that it isn't too slim fitting otherwise it will highlight any lumps and bumps. Ensure that the sleeve length is right (no longer than than the wrist and that it isn't too long in the body (just below the waist).

If you think it fits well, I would go with it, its a nice jacket

Nice shorts, Daniel. Love the smart details that contrast the general concept of swimming trunks.

    Hello All,

Just made my first significant purchase, a Anthony Doted Pinstripe Navy and Cream suit in a 38R, looking forward for it arriving.
