    I bought a couple of cardis from there and a jacket a month or so ago in their sale. Verdicts:

    1) A black one with elbow patches, and is not particularly comfortable. It's a quite rough wool (lambswool IIRC) and the patches are annoying.
    2) The other is a lovely burgundy cardigan that is the opposite of no. 1 - very soft and comfortable.
    3) The jacket, which I was most excited by, was meant to be an M but they delivered an XL. Thank god for free returns. No exchange possible unfortunately.

    So quite a mixed bag. Seen some press rave about their white shirts though and I think their overall aesthetic is quite chic, just varying in quality.

    Had to update my bag selection. Went for this bad boy:

    Following the chambray conversation earlier I nipped out to the York Outlet today and found a couple of options!

    Not the best pictures but I picked up these from Ted Baker and Reiss;

    Also picked up these;

    (softest jumper I may have ever felt!)

    Some really sweet purchases there Simwells - what's the fit like on the Reiss chambray and jumper?

    Just got to try them on.

    The shirt is 100% cotton and nice and lightweight. The fit is spot-on... a proper slim-fit. Love the fact that their shirts go up in 1" increments as opposed to most places which jump up in 2" increments. And I can close the top button, which is not always the case. Love the colour too - will probably get another one in white.

    The sweat looks great, but the fit really doesn't suit me. I got the medium - it's a regular fit, so it's a bit baggier around the body than I would like. A small might have been better, or quite possibly a large which would of course be baggier, but at least it would be properly over-sized instead of being in an unflattering "no-man's land". A pity, coz the design is pretty cool.

    1 out of 2 purchases isn't bad - I'm used to sending back at least half the stuff I buy, so it's no biggie... will definitely be getting more from COS in the future.

    Have you ever bought anything from Boglioli? Keen to see what all the fuss is about.
    I have one of their suits. It's very much on the small side compared to British ones. Good quality materials and buttons. Must admit it didn't blow me away but I'm satisfied with it for what it cost. I prefer the look of their casual jackets but haven't got round to buying one yet. Would love to read the feedback of anyone who has.

    Thanks! Reiss Chambray is their classic fit which I'd still call a slim fit just not quite as much as many fashion brands now but then I often can't get my arms through with how slim they are on many now. So fits me perfectly anyway! The jumper is a more usual slim end of spectrum fit which is absolutely perfect on me good length to the body and arms which I often have issues with.

    You sound like you buy Italian tailoring quite extensively? I'm a huge fan of it, although don't own many pieces. I absolutely love brands like Tombolini and Boggi. Where do you normally purchase from? Yoox?

    I honestly don't own much tailoring. I've invested in chinos, t-shirts and shirts although don't get to wear the shirts much these days. I tend to subscribe to newsletters such as the Shopstyle one where they send daily emails with special offers from various sites for the brands you select then I'll buy instantly when I see the right deal for the right item. If I'm honest I probably own more pieces from French or Scandinavian brands made in Italy than Italian brands made there. Recently added some great items such as Aspesi chinos and Slowear shirts but it's all about what's available at the time. The last month or two I bought loads from Flannels cos they had some amazing items at 80 or even 90% off but anything worth buying is now long gone from their sale. Now I've gone back to buying off my regular sites depending on what is on offer when. Seems a bit slower now in terms of sales so will be waiting for a couple of months time when Mr Porter, Matches etc have their half price or better sales. Hopefully will have some savings by then so can buy some high quality shorts, driving shoes and sportswear. If you want some mega bargains check out the clearance section on Matches now. I picked up a Dolce & Gabanna bomber from last summer for £202 down from £675 due to it being the last left and size 54. You can often get bargains there as many A: don't understand Italian sizing systems and B: Italian sizings aren't as big as ours so people think XXL will be huge when in reality it's often smaller than our XL. Worst case scenario is you can send the item back, which is free.
