    Jolly nice I agree. I was a bit concerned about the shine though, thought it might be a bit much? The actual colour however is very, very nice.

    They actually arrived a few minutes ago, and they are everything I hoped they'd be. I really wanted a high shine finish, which they are (although they don't look patent). The colour is deep dark oxblood which is what I'd hoped for (many googled images had them looking much lighter and redder). The tonal colouring on the heel and toe areas looks lovely, the double stitching looks great and the antique metal buckles look awesome (a feature that made them stand out for me rather than a standard stainless steel buckle).
