Denim jackets also look great under overcoats. There was a pic of Oliver Cheshire rocking the look in one of the FB articles saluting style icons. Easy look to put together but ticks a lot of boxes.
I try the look occasionally and I think it works in general. Fit is key as always. A less formal blazer, preferably with a deconstructed effect, works better in my opinion and keep everything slim.
Was browsing and found this look you were sporting back in March, ICA. Really epic! (though not so sure about the denim jacket fully buttoned up at the top - but that's a preference thing I think).

I wear mine under a grey/brown wool blazer, my caramel coloured mac and my pea coat. I've had plenty of positive feedback from people on the look. It makes for a less formal approach, though mine is not as dark as the one you have.
I need to post my look on this.
I got a quilted blazer from Topman, and I wear my denim jacket under it. I'll do it when I get home :cool:
