I'll kick it off then
I like it, but I'm not really getting the "smart" bit
It's smart / smart casual
The merino knit and the gingham shirt are smart to me
Fair play. Opens the scope of the competition. Looks good anyway
Yeah man I tried to convey in the OP that it is quite open - will be interesting to see what others come up with
I like it ICA, only spoiled by the bulge in your trousers....(erm, keys in your pocket?)
This first look is more casual than i was expecting, but you have made the rules, so it will be interesting to see which way the other entries sway between the 'smart' and the 'casual'.
On another note, i presume that belstaff jacket will end up as a family heirloom.
Haha didn't notice the bulge - should probably have taken keys out
I'd say that if I had smart shoes / boots on with this fit then it would be a smart-casual vibe. It's quite a broad classification though and everyone's interpretation of it is different. I think the fit brings different styles together which is something I like, and wanted to see from this challenge. It's probably not a winner but I did want to get the ball rolling and clarify the flexibility of the smart-casual element of the challenge. I suppose in a way it's about incorporating trainers in an unexpected context.
And nah, fuck that - think I'm gonna be buried in it.
Definitely more casual than I was thinking but you're right ICA, does leave this month really open to interpretation. Should mean a high number of entries, might try and get involved myself.
And that jacket is beautiful man, don't even want to imagine how much it set you back!
