    London Style - Going Out

Hey guys I was wondering if I could get some advice. I'm supposed to be going up to London at the end of June and originally (after getting completely carried away with the 'going sockless' article) I was going to go in a smart blue suit, sockless with black loafers. After deciding this may be too smart for me to pull off I was needing some ideas for going up there. At the moment this is what I have, can you guys give me your opinions: Smart white shirt, light grey blazer, dark blue jeans and then sockless with either brown or black loafers and a kind of silk scarf of some kind. Any opinions?

Oh yeah sorry that would help wouldn't it. I'm going up to a club with a big group of friends near Leicester square.

What sort of club is it?

If I were you I'd go for something like

    Cardigan / lightweight jacket
    Plain white tee
    Slim jeans / Chinos
    Loafers / luxury trainers

That should ensure you get in anywhere, and fit in too.

If you are going somewhere smart then maybe add a blazer or a shirt & tie into the mix.

I quite like the sound of the latter outfit, with brown loafers. Then again, I'm ridicuously overdressed most of the time, it just depends if that bothers you. If I was in London I'd throw a tie or even a bow tie into the mix. It's the one city where I really throw caution to the winds getting dressed, because there will always be someone dressed more mental than you.
