To Tuck, Or Not To Tuck. That Is The Question...

Morning chaps. I have been thinking about shirt-tucking. My usual look is on the smarter side, so I usually tuck my shirts in. But sometimes, on a casual night out, I can feel a bit overdressed. Plus, with the warmer weather I sometimes feel like I could dress a bit looser. That said, I still want to look well tput-together. Do any of you guys ever leave it hanging out? If so, in what contexts, what kind of shirt, and what would you pair it up with? Thought appreciated

I NEVER untuck my shirt unless:

    1) It's a rugged sort of shirt (a chambray or denim one) which suits a casual look more

    2) I'm on holiday, wearing shorts and boiling hot.

    3) I'm intending on being undressed in the next few minutes

Agreed with above. I feel weird with an untucked shirt, like i've forgot to finish getting dressed.

But, as mentioned above certain shirts, like denim or with quite short shirts probably look better out, especially as with the short ones will just pop out anyway

Im not adverse to having my shirt untucked dependent on what im wearing, sometimes if my jeans have a low rise I wear them untucked because, this is more casual.

I will tuck if its a formal shirt, or I'm wearing it in a formal manner, then leave untucked if it's a casual shirt.

Depending on the fabric and the occasion. If it is for formal occasion, then tuck in, otherwise, you can untuck it with well-matched pants to look casual and feel comfortable.
