Sizing Frustrations For Athletic Builds
Not so much a question, more of a rant.
I know a lot of people on here go to the gym on a regular basis. Although this has its obvious perks there also lies some level of frustration when it comes to sizing. I am about a 40-41 inch chest but with a 31 inch waist. When buying knitwear in particular, I find a lot of the time the jumper or cardigan will fit well on the shoulders and chest, but material tends to billow around my stomach area which is rather unflattering. Anyone else have this problem?

I have the exact same problem, I have a 46 inch chest and a 34 inch waist, not finding a "fat person's large" is very difficult. The solution, take it to the tailor, it is more affordable than you think.

Don't take knitwear to a tailor. You need to find a good seamstress (although I've no idea where you'd find one) and not a tailor. It's a different skill set.

Yeah, taking in a moss stitch is a whole different kettle of fish. Argh! I wanted to phrase it the same way you did, Wintershorts (a fat person's large!) but I refrained. I'm glad you just came out and said it!
