I would personally avoid all the fashion houses for under £500. I think for slightly cheaper watches (I know that sounds crazy when your thinking of spending £500, but a really nice watch is going to be more like £1500+) you should look at Simon Carter. If you're looking for something simple, this is ideal in my opinion:
