    Tie Combo With Grey Oxford

ASOS | ASOS Oxford Shirt at ASOS

Hey guys, I recently bought thisgrey oxford shirt from asos for autumn/winter and was wondering what to wear it with. Trouser wise, slim indigo jeans or navy chinos will work but i'm not sure about dressing it up for those smarter occasions. I'm thinking along the lines of a knitted wool tie but need help deciding on a colour. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I'm not a fan of ties with button down oxfords really. Not sure why. Just doesn't look right to me

I love buttondowns with ties, it's such a great look, and can give a heritage or geek-chic element depending on how you wear it.

I'd go with burgundy with grey, something thicker always looks better with a button down.

I second Nath's comment, especially his second link, I saw the shirt and instantly thought of my knitted burgundy tie.
