HELP! Socks, Should Match Shoes Or Trousers?
Guys, I know, I know, it's the age old debate, but should my socks match my shoes or my trousers?
For example today I have on a white button down oxford, green trousers, and light brown loafers and a light brown belt. I have opted for socks that are a very similar shade of brown to my loafers, but I am wondering if everything would look better with socks that are a shade of green that match my trousers.
What's the general opinion on this board for this age old question?

Technically they should match your trousers I believe. But socks are one of those things you can play with. Go for something contrasting or a bit clashy (depending on where you are, obviously)

It's work. So I think I'll invest in some green socks to match my trousers then matey! Cheers.

I'd say match trousers or match/complement/contrast something else entirely, matching shoes doesn't tend to look that great.
