    Slim fit or tapered?

Just wondering whether tapered fit would be better for a short arse with quite big thighs? If i buy slim fit i tend to need to get the next size up.

    any thoughts?

Look for tapered, that way you won't have to deal with all the bunching at the waist that sizing up gives you.

Incidentally, I just picked up some Levis 508's which I was told (by the guy in store) is the latest cut

He described them as more of a carrot fit, which instantly put me off, but they're actually a quality "regular" fit that are slimmer from the knee down. No sagging crotch, just a taper..

I'd give them a whirl if they're in your budget

I have large thighs and I swear by the Levi 510s although I do have to go a size up. I tried on the 508s and 511s recently and although I could wear a waist size smaller they just clung too tightly to my calves. Maybe that's the look you want or maybe I have large calves as well!
