I would go for the 32
So 2 pairs of shorts from ASOS arrived this morning (ASOS | ASOS Chino Shorts at ASOS) one in navy and one in beige/stone, and I'm contemplating whether to send them back.
Since I'm a very inconvenient 33" waist, I had to get the 34" ones. (most brands do waists in steps of 2") Thing is, they're kinda a bit too baggy for my liking, and they can't hold up at all without wearing a belt. (It sucks that some fabric has to bunch up at the sides because of the belt tho)
For comparison, I do own an older pair of shorts that's 32", but they fit a little bit too snugly, and make sitting a bit uncomfortable. (nothing too pain inducing, but after a couple of pints of beer, I would be regretting the 32")
So do I take a chance and send them back in favour of the 32" ones or do I suck it up and keep wearing the baggy-ish 34" with a belt? Cheers!
Go for the 32, you can always send those back too if they're too small. If so, try looking elsewhere - H&M does 33" waist shorts.

Honestly...I'd say drench them with water and throw them in the dryer. It'll shrink them a bit!
That's what I do if I can't find the right size haha. But if not, then yeah...go for the 32
Ok I'm gonna go ahead and send them back to get the 32". Not too sure if they'll end up being wearable at all, but it's worth a shot. I'll update you guys once they arrive
