    How to wear a polo

    Hello!

So what are your opinions on how to wear a polo?

I recently bought a Ralph Lauren slim fit and I find it a bit too long (especially in the back) to wear it untucked.

What do you think about wearing polos tucked and what about the buttons? Should the top button always be unbuttoned or is it okay to button up sometimes?

Please share your thoughts about polos.

I remember asking exactly the same thing. The replies I got were - if you are to tuck it in - don't wear a belt as it empahsises the fact that you've tucked it in and can make it look slightly out of place. Also , my personal preference is to wear one button undone when it is tucked in. It may just be me but it makes me look stiff and far too formal. Maybe pop the collar too? That's quite a casual look.

Personally I wear polls untucked and buttoned all the way up. I think tucking a polo in can look stuffy.

I think it can work tucked in but it has to be a pretty tight fitting polo.
Anything that is slightly baggy should be untucked (and yes, I would consider the polo in the pic as slightly baggy)

I don't wear polos that often but that's how I wear them too, usually with a cardigan.

I'm not a big fan of popped collars. Perhaps because I associate that look too much with either a bad boy cliché or snobby rich kids. It looks tryhard imo.

Popped collar is solely preppy for me. Which is why I favour it. Popped collars on shirts make me think of badboys but I can see why you see snobby rich kids.

It's definitely too long to wear untucked and too loose to wear tucked... Guess I just have to find a better fitting polo.
