    Why would you want to avoid the double denim? If paired with the right jean, the look can be pulled off with ease.

    I would pair the shirt with a dark jean, whether it be a raw/rinse denim or black

    Why not double denim get a pair of black skinny's some brogues or Chelsea boots and you've got awesome outfit, btw what's the fit from Zara I'm normally an xs on anything I wear but Zara don't stock size xs as far as I'm aware

    Sandy coloured desert boots would be nice for denim/black jeans but for me wearing black jeans and denim shirt doesn't match...

    Have to agree with some of the chaps here, double denim is fine as long as you contrast the shade; black is fine too though I do like the suggestion of burgundy trousers/chinos and tan brogues, may give that a look myself.
