Uniqlo Tweed Blazer - any experiences?

    Hi,

I'm looking for a good, inexpensive tweed blazer for the autumn/winter months.

Uniqlo stuff is usually great, so I was wondering if anyone had tried their tweed blazer?

How does it fit? What's the fabric and quality like?

I can't advise you on your questions, but it looks like a nice bit of kit.

I just bought it a week ago, which may be a bit too soon to make a final call, but so far I've liked it, it's the best fit I've found in a tweed jacket. Thinking about getting the dark brown, too.

Thanks Zack - from the pictures it looks a bit 'boxy' - how tapered is the waist, would you say?

Have you had a look in Burton?? Great selection of blazers in their sale, all under 60.

I was in my local Burton on the weekend - they had nothing!

I think blazers are really tough to buy online, so many ways the fit can be wrong.

Doesn't fit boxy at all, I found it well tapered.

Just got one delivered today, I find it tapered at the waist and not at all boxy.

I have however found that when unpackaging the jacket it is quite creased. I think this is due to it being folded and packaged in a flat plastic bag which isnt great for a tweed jacket.

Has anyone had a similar experience ?

It's 70% wool, so you could just hang it into the hot steam when you get out of the shower. That should do the trick!
