Looks like something that only fashion bloggers at Pitti/a photoshoot/*insert other fashion show name here* could pull it off without looking weird imo

No way. Not needed from a practical point of view if you have a decent coat and would be annoying having something huge wrapped around you all day. If you're attending some sort of fashion event then fine, but from a day to day perspective it's a big no from me.

Zara one looks awful but I would rock the ones in the street style pics

    I think it looks cool

    What do you think OP?

Walking down New Bond Street in London past all the boutique and designer shops I can just vision a classy minted bloke with one of these.., and he'd look awesome. It looks like a 'posh' item, a bit like a male version of the pashmina, I think it would look brilliant on a handsome tanned sunglasses wearing Mediterranean millionaire.

But on the regular man on the street - nah.

Not keen on the Zara one, mainly due to the pattern.

The top 2 street style pics really don't do it for me. I reckon the guy on the bottom right probably pulls it off best.

Again, like most people are saying I don't think it's something I could personally wear on a regular day and feel 'confident' in.

I can see a use for it if you're popping out for a smoke in cold weather. It will protect your clothes from the smoke, and spare everyone else the smell of cigarettes when you return, and it would protect you from the cold.

But other than that. No. And, looking the pictures, except for Superman's Scottish cousin, I'd say there's a definite hobo-factor to it.
