Have you had a look on the high street? As others have pointed out, overcoats are often in the sales at this time.
Looking at M&S (who are often pretty decent for this kind of thing with reasonable style and quality) are offering some for just over £100:
Double breasted coat a bit like an extended peacoat for £108 - http://www.marksandspencer.com/Autog..._rd_s=center-3
Princes of Wales/Glen Check double breasted overcoat for just under £120 - http://www.marksandspencer.com/Autog..._rd_s=center-3

Honestly. I would just eBay an overcoat right now. Most people look to get rid of them at this time of year.
I have picked up a couple decent overcoats originally £250+ easy for under £100.
It can be a little risky as returns are not always accepted, but I have had many compliments from the ones I do get.
One quick Dry clean and the coat is fresh.
I wouldnt get an overcoat now personally. i would get a good trench coat.
In fact, Uniqlo are selling trench coats, single and double breasted for exactly £100, and it will last you throughout spring too.
Might need to man up a bit in the winter though :P

Thanks James, not really a fan of trench coats. I know with suits I dont have much choice. So might just use my current coat and just not wear suit jacket when im out worst case.
