You'd certainly feel very soft.
Can it be done? Or is it texture overload?
You'd certainly feel very soft.
I think I'm going to go for it.
What footwear though?
Options are:
Black Hiking Boots
Dark Brown Brogue Boots
Medium Brown Suede Worker Boots
Sand Military Boots
White hi-tops
Black hi-tops
My mind is boggling at the possibilities
I would say something on the more casual side of things, you could give brogue boots a try though (are they Hudson Angus boots?) perhaps cords poked in? I would avoid black I think, personally I would find the black shirt and black footwear a bit of an odd colour match. Worker/Military boots would look good to, provided they weren't too similar to the tone of the trousers.
Split it up with a belt so you don't turn into a corduroy monster![]()
I'd say worker boots, keep the whole thing workwear looking and casual.
You'd probably get away with double cord with All Saints gear because the cord is pretty subtle, but I would stay away from those sand military boots with those trousers.
Tone, I actually love those boots with those trousers; usually break it up with a turn up and a natty sock though!
They are these ones:
So they do contrast a bit, although they tone together nicely too. I often wear that combo with a cream jumper and a quilted denim Vivienne Westwood Jacket. I have thing for toning neutrals together at times. Wouldn't wear them in the same outfit as black though.
Will Colman, they are indeed Hudson Angus Brogues. As the cords are cropped, it's not possible to tuck; the cuff ends just above the boot, thus enabling more sock-based japery.
Still undecided as to the best footwear to rock. Narrowed it down slightly though:
Brown Brogue Boots
Brown Worker Boots
Black hi-tops
I think each one will change the overall outfit dramatically, ranging from smart casual, to relaxed, to very casual.
My vote is for brogue boots, the cropped leg will reveal most, if not all the boot and give it an interesting edge and I love my Angus Brogue Boots, so I would want to show them off.
