They are all lovely. I was more wondering if anyone had stumbled across anything similar within the budget that might be even better choices.

Not tweed per se - but if you were to get in right quick you'd be able to fill that hole with the (lovely) Burton, and snag this delicious bargain:
Richard JamesÂ*Prince of Wales Plaid JacketÂ*|Â*MR PORTERIt is of course not quite tweed, but it's a nice textured wool with a great nod to the heritage trend. And you are a 36" chest, yes?

It was more the heritage style than tweed per se, yes, Sam, so the plaid thing is what I was going for.
That's a lovely jacket and very similar to the Paul Smith one in grey, and £845 worth of jacket for £250 is a steal. It's more formal than the others though. I have some tough choices to make. I'd love to buy either the Paul Smith or the Richard James one for smarter wear and the Ralph Lauren or Jack Wills for more casual wear, but my budget says I shouldn't

Did we base ourselves on Dr. Who, or was it the other way around?

Perhaps fortunately, the Richard James has gone! Unless of course it was you
