I do think you guys were a little bit too harsh there. He asked for advice, not for a downright slating and insulting.
If they fit you, they fit you. But I wouldn't recommend women's jeans, as they aren't as well built for the male body. They are proportioned to fit, well, a female. But hey. I have unisex skinny jeans, they fit me fine.

Try telling your mates down the pub that you're wearing women's jeans and see how much they'd take the piss. Jeez, some folks are so precious about a few jibes (most of which weren't even aimed at the OP).

Honestly the only issue here is the fit, as I do not think it is important to enforce traditional gender stereotype. I think it was adventurous and daring to buy them, they certainly sound cool. You could wear them with braces, braces give a better lift than a belt, as the "suspended" the pant. Good luck.

my singer tried on my nudie tight long johns and looked fantastic - it probs doesnt work the other way though :P
