I'm looking for something different to wear on my bottom half, i have far too many jeans and think chinos are too over done. Any suggestions?

I have a few pairs of wool/tweed trousers and would definitely recommend them as an alternative to chinos and jeans for a smarter casual look.
Agree with that.
Cords are another, more casual option too.
Wool, suit trousers, herringbone etc. You can buy vintage trousers and have them sewn in by a tailor since they tend to be wide.
Sometimes people ask me why I always dress up. I simply reply that I don't. It's everyone else who dress themselves down
Heavy twill are my go to.
“We have such a heritage in this country. People from other countries, all the R’n'B stars, they come to Savile Row and they’re in immaculate three-piece suits. Then you see British guys and they just can’t seem to dress. We have all these fashion agendas, punk and Vivienne Westwood and everything, but the queue seems to be at Abercrombie & Fitch down the road. That is just heartbreaking to me. Why does everyone want a polo shirt and three-quarter-length combat shorts?”
