Hi the one pictured is nice,
What's your budget?
Hi, I'm considering the purchase of a new watch - a lifetime piece. I was hoping that you would make some suggestions, at the moment this is the one to beat.
The only restrictions is that it should be fully automatic, silver (not gold), if leather it should be brown (not black).

Two things - budget, and any particular style? And I wouldn't worry about the strap colour as you can change it in a flash anyway.
Steinhart are worth checking out, some very nice watches, otherwise an Omega Seamaster would be nice.
Thanks and apologies for the lack of info.
I'm looking for timeless (excuse the pun), something classic. A design that has been respected for a long time and will only get better with age. My budget is £5k but I will adjust that accordinly as this is an investment.

Get a vintage LeCoultre PowerMatic Nautilus with a 14k case.
I only say this because James Dean had one. Still awesome though![]()
This omega is a beautiful watch to wear, but I'm a big fan of omega ESP at this price range.
Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Men's Chronograph Watch MW5728 from Beaverbrooks the Jewellers
I dont really get watches. But in saying that, i love the Universal Wares ones and simple Braun faces.
£700 over budget, but i would probably buy a zenith el primero chronomaster.

A Tag Heuer Monaco? Horologists would scoff of course, but Steve McQueen got laid more than horologists do. I'm a sucker for the big square face.
