It's pissing it down in Sussex, so somewhat restricted in my sartorial choices today:

Brown military boots (old pair, sadly I left my Grenson Freds at home in hope of better weather. Optimistic.)
Indigo skinnies - Nudie Grim Tim
White t-shirt - Gap
Light blue denim shirt - Topman
Beige DB mac - Jasper Conran
Brown leather messenger bag - Ashwood

And most essentially:
Large navy umbrella - Uniqlo

Not bad for a day when lots of coursemates resorted to pack-a-macs, the dreaded Superdry jacket or, in one case, a binbag.

For the past couple of days, I've been super-prep, wearing my quiffy side parting, chinos and navy cricket jumper with oxford shirts in varying colours - with the collars popped, Gant/Michael Bastian style. Remarkably, nobody's commented on this at all. Either it is unanimously approved of or I look so ridiculous it doesn't bear thinking about. Thoughts?

I'm not a fan of the Collar-pop to be honest. I think it says: "look at my chest", almost like: 'if scoop-necks did smart...".

However, I do think a few buttons undone when a shirt is tucked in looks good this summer. Just not when the shirt looks like it's been tugged out purposefully. A casually relaxed look fits in with the Italian Riviera theme this summer.

Haha, I go around looking very preppy from time to time and it is a mixed bag.

It depends on the people really: for every snarl I get from a group of hollister-clad football fans, I get a nice look from a fashion-conscious girl.
