loving the coloured trousers, good work. Might I suggest a pair of desert boots? the trainers are good, but I think it could all be taken up a notch with something a bit more special.

I will be completly honest my most expensive shoes are about 20 eurow and don't thing I got not even one pair that would be really appealing as a good shoe... I have to invest in a couple or 3 good shoes that will last!

So having picked up an overcoat in a charity shop the other day I assumed it would live in the cupboard until November, but since summer has abandoned us, here's my outfit for my clinical exam today. Why dress like a doctor when you can dress like The Doctor?

    Coat - Peter Werth
Shirt, chinos & socks - Uniqlo
Bow tie & watch - vintage
    Belt - Zara
    Shoes - Meermin
    Satchel - Paper Street Leather

Just noticed this one on ASOS: ASOS | ASOS Slim Fit Suit Jacket In Cotton at ASOS

Looks like the same design as mine but lined and a darker blue, worth a look though maybe?

Because the summer can't really decide where to go with the weather yet, it's hard to dress in the morning!

You'll have to excuse the poor light conditions. I guess I'll have to write out the colours of what I'm wearing...

    Jacket - Black J.Lindeberg Harrington
    Jumper - Light grey Bläck
    Shirt - Light blue button-down H&M
Tie - Dark grey Atlas Design wool tie
Trousers - Burgundy Ben Sherman corduroy
Belt - Dark grey ASOS tweed and leather belt (matching the tie)
Shoes - Clark's original desert boots

Do note my kid's excellent mouse slippers, in front of the red boot.

This seems like a great opportunity to bring up a question: how do you feel about the sleeve length on that overcoat Blacksheep? It's just that I recently got one in the sale that has a similar length (just touching the wristbone) and I thought it was a bit too short. It looks good, don't get me wrong, but some traditionalists say an overcoat should extend well over your wrist.

For heavier coats there's a point in longer sleeves, because you might want something longer, to protect more from wind and snow, or cover your suit jacket properly. However, when it's that cold, this coat would probably be too thin anyway.

I think this is the perfect length. The coat looks too slim to comfortably fit a blazer or suit jacket under, and so could be considered a "long", heavy blazer - and as such, I think a bit of cuff should show.
