How To Start Understanding Fashion?

Hi, I'm new here and I'm interested in fashion and want to be quite fashionable. The thing I don't know is how do people keep up with fashion? How do you know which stores you have to go to and get what you want? I'm sorry if the questions seem dumb, but I really need something to get me started.

Furthermore, you can check out stores (both online and offline) to see what items they carry. That should give you a good indication of what's 'hot' and what's not.

Also, the streets are a great source of inspiration.

Remember: style is more important than fashion. Don't try to be fashionable just to be cool. Always be yourself
