Style Advice On Matching Waistcoat For A Suit
Hi,
I recently bought a suit for my wedding from Topman. I really love it but unfortunately they don't a matching do a waistcoat with it. Its a biscotti coloured tweed suit. here is the picture
Can someone please advice what kind of waistcoat will go with my suit and where could I possibily buy it.
Thanks
Kam

You may be better off going for something complimentary or contrasting, rather than trying to match. If you try and match and it doesn't quite work, then it can look terrible imo.The other option is going for a thin merino cardigan underneath, rather than a waistcoat, though it might be getting a bit warm for that now!

You won't be able to find a matching waistcoat unless you got one made tailor made, but even then you won't get a match. You're better off following Nats advice and finding something complementary or going for a well fitting, fine knit cardigan. You might even be better off sticking with the two piece and getting more from the accessories.

I think Nat's advice is spot on. As a matter or fact, I was watching Mad Men on Tuesday, and Lane mismatches waistcoats a lot. I think he hit it best when he used a double breasted cardigan. Something like this (from H&M):

Though perhaps without the lapels.
Something more Lane Pryce-ish could work too, unless you're actually old enough to be Lane Pryce, at which point, ironically enough, it makes you look a bit dated (from Ralph Lauren):

It's a wedding. Avoid the cardigan.
Personally, I'd wear it as a two piece.

Yeah, I'd stick with it as it is personally.

Touché. Wedding indeed.
A contrasting waistcoat could still work, mind.

Burgundy might look pretty good, and would increase the wedding-ness of the whole thing

If you got the matching tie thingy too, and a nice pocket square, I reckon you'd be set.
Cream would also work for a less audacious style
