Some tough winter Boots

The most obvious difference between mens and ladies denim jackets - to me at least - is that the buttons are on the wrong side. It always irks me, and is kind of conspicuous when the plackets of your shirt and jacket are on opposite sides.
Got this given as a gift today, safe to say it's the nicest jumper I own!

After hunting and hunting today for a scarf (my demands were earthy/autumnal colours, wool, chunky and warm, cable knit and with tassles) and coming up with nothing I liked enough to spend my pennies on (everything was either cheap and man-made or ridiculously expensive), I stumbled across this in Jack Wills (a place I normally loathe). Putting aside my feelings about the brand, the scarf is absolutely lovely and 100% lambswool! I shall wear it endlessly this winter.

This is something I've always wondered - why don't people like Jack Wills?
I mean fair enough it's worn by some clueless teenagers, and it does some dreadful hoodies and sweats, but as long as you avoid the clear branding and the types of garment you wouldn't want to buy anyway, you can pick up some reasonable quality classic pieces. That scarf looks like a good example.
I think it's simply the connotations of that awful side of student wear (the hoodies, sweats and rugby shirts) and ridiculously in your face branding of the likes of Jack Wills that puts me off (and I'm sure a lot of others). I steadfastly refuse to purchase anything with the branding/logo on it, but you are right that there are some lovely pieces in there when you get past that stuff: some of the fair isle knits and tweed jackets are great. However, with those items they are competing with Reiss, Ted Baker, Allsaints et al for price, all places I will check out first.
